My name is Mary Beth Pilkington I am originally from Tennessee and moved to Georgia in February 2007. I graduated from The University of Tennessee at Martin in 1993 with a B.S. in Agriculture with my concentration in food science.
I completed my Master's degree from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA in 7-12 Science Education. I began my teaching career in 2007 at Long County High School. I also taught Food Science and Early Childhood Education at Lee County High School from 2013-2016. I am the FCCLA (Family Career, Community Leaders of America) adviser at Lincoln County High School. I also serve as the Georgia High school FCCLA Adviser to Adviser which is a program that matches new advisers with veteran advisers for a mentoring program. I have a daughter, Abbey, who graduated from Lee County High School in 2014 and is a Senior Middle Grades Education Major at Georgia Southwestern State University. She recently got married. I have two dogs, Maggie and Piper. I enjoy all kinds of cooking and love to travel, especially cruising. I owned my own restaurant/bakery/catering business for several years before transitioning into the teaching profession. I love working with young people and to be able to share my passion for learning with them. I am always available to my students to ensure their success both in and out of the classroom. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
